Google Pledges a Billion to Address the SF Housing Crisis

It's the least they could do.

Google has pledged $1 billion to build 20,000 affordable homes in the Bay area. They will use $750 million worth of real estate they own to build 15,000 homes, and the other $250 million will be in the form of an investment fund they'll use to incentive developers to build the additional 5,000.
